If Trump is the devil and Biden is our best hope of avoiding the nightmare of a second Trump presidency, does that make him an angel? Or was that sentence just an excuse to justify my AI art image of an angel as my cover pic? You decide.
However it is clear that Biden’s no angel. He paid lip service to progressive ideals on the campaign of 2020 and fought for them about as hard as the directors of Game of Thrones fought for more time to finish the story properly.
I can give you facts about what legislation got passed (corporate handouts) and what went down in flames (voting rights, increased minimum wage, social infrastructure) and the language Biden used for McConnell, Sinema and Manchin as they screwed over his alleged agenda.
But the question I guess that lingers is why? Why does the Democratic party exist? Is it a good cop, bad cop simulation played out to give the populace hope? Or is there a real distinction between a party that is the political arm of the fossil fuel industry and a party that merely takes huge donations from giant corporations but does not appear to be owned outright by them?
