The Biden and Dem establishment have never been shy about what they think of Progressives and their activist supporters. From “I beat the Socialist” to “Activists are out of step with America” it’s always been easy to see that Dems hate the left. But here are the top 5 instances during the Biden admin.
5) The Senate Parliamentarians rejects the 15 dollar an hour minimum wage
If you’d forgotten this was the first time that Dem establishment hid behind the Senate Parliamentarian, whom the GOP fired when he defied them on tax cuts, rather than actually pass a Progressive priority or admit their opposition.
As this Feb 25 2021 NPR article recounts “The Senate parliamentarian ruled that a plan to gradually increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025 does not fit the complicated rules that govern budget bills in the Senate. House Democrats included the measure in a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill that is expected to be the first major legislative act for President Biden.”
