There is Still a Guy Living in My Gym

I don’t want to be repetitive (something I’ve said more than I’d like to) but there is still a guy living at my gym.

Same guy. I haven’t gone to my gym for a week or so because I have been the busy. But now four times that I’ve gone in the last few weeks, the same person has been there. Been there when I arrived at 2 a.m. There when I left at 4 a.m.

Last night I suppose was an improvement as he wasn’t sleeping. So of course you might say what am I upset about then. Well he wasn’t working out either. He was making phone calls from the locker room. And watching T.V. I have yet to see this person do anything you might even generously call working out.

I called the manager last week who assured me both that he didn’t know anything about it and yet would promptly take care of it.

There is a phrase living in the gym. It’s meant to mean that you workout so often it’s as if you live there. I admire and approve of that. Watching T.V. and sleeping there on the regular is somewhat less admirable. Especially in the time of Covid.

If you have any advice suggestions or similar stories, please post in the comments. I’m out of ideas.

Since he was awake you might ask “Why didn’t you say anything” Fair point. But what do you say to someone other than “Are you living here” and I didn’t want to lead with that.

Of course the ultimate question is still #AITA.
