Well I wasn’t expecting that when I tuned into Succession tonight.
So this was an intense episode and spoilers to come obvi

and Logan died. Entirely offscreen. He’s never seen in the entire episode. To the point that I thought when they initially said he was having a cardiac event it was a fake out.
When they had the Roy kids talk to him and make their emotional last words to him, I kept waiting for his voice to lambast them for being emotional and pathetic. It didn’t happen.
Even when we were able to see chest compressions, but not the person they were being performed on, I thought it was a CPR dummy to give the gag verisimilitude.
But no. Logan died. And watching the genuine emotions sweep through all the successors, before ambition, greed and corporate maneuvering once again took their place was something to see.
Connor meanwhile, we find out, has a distaste for Victoria Sponge which he associates with his mother being committed. And that is his emotional crisis until his father passes, and then he asks his mail order bride if she’s only in it for the money. But he also apologizes for taking her away from the world, and that seems genuine. And…
