So the ride is over…I’m going to miss Succession. I’m going to attempt a few non spoiler comments, then go deep into Spoiler territory. I enjoyed the finale more than I think just about any other Series finale, though that is damning with faint praise. I hated the Game of Thrones entire Season 8, but especially the last two episodes. The finale to How I Met Your Mother haunts me to this day. And don’t get me started on the it was a dream b.s. that was the Newhart finale. Larry, Darryl and Darryl deserved better. If you know you know.

This finale didn’t reduce the entire series to a dream, didn’t make a mockery of the title of the show and didn’t rush three seasons worth of content into one. So it’s winning the race already. It also gave a climactic ending that revealed and fulfilled the characters. Pretty damned great. And that’s not faint praise.

Okay let the spoilers begin

…and here we go.

Damn the real Kendall came out to play. And he’s a bastard, not just the sad bastard we all knew and some loved. Despite his showy protests whenever Logan physically abused someone, Kendall’s physically abusive tendencies came out twice in this episode, both towards his little brother Roman who he supposedly protected.
