Subservience is terrible. I’m talking about the new Megan Fox movie, but I’m also not crazy about the concept. I prefer independent minded truth tellers to spineless bootlickers in general.

This movie is awful. It’s not even fun awful. I mean Megan Fox is beautiful and we see her in lingerie so there’s that. But this movie is as joyless as most of the automata that we see inhabiting it.

There is an affair between the husband and his robot nanny because of course there is. But the movie goes out of the way to make Alice (Megan’s character) clearly the bad girl and the husband so reluctant as to take all the degenerate fun there could have been in this illicit affair.

He doesn’t overly protest when his now unemployed crew go to the site where he works, break in and smash up a couple of the robots. He doesn’t stop them, doesn’t join them, doesn’t call the cops and for some reason in this futuristic world there are no security cameras to record the incident.

There is a little bit of fun I guess when the wife comes home from the hospital and jockeys for position with the robot of the house. The sabotaged banister/fall down the stairs bit is…
