She-Hulk and the sword of justice by Doug X with Craiyon

This is about episode 3 of She-Hulk Attorney at Law the t.v. series so mild spoilers. In other words if you’re the kind of person who worries about that kind of thing than you’re the kind of person who should stop reading right about now.

Okay, now that the spoiler averse are gone, She-Hulk is a witty, funny, girl power take on attorneys and super heroes. On Disney Plus. Watch it. It doesn’t suck, which is more than I can say for most t.v. shows.

But it is also a show about the law and lawyers and it gets a few things wrong on this one. She-Hulks superhuman law department takes on a fraud lawsuit against a shape changing Asgardian for making a local DA think she was Megan Thee Stallion.

The show shows the signing of the retainer agreement and then they are in court on a motion to dismiss sometime later. And while the show isn’t specific about how many days go by, there is no way I believe the suit was filed, served and a motion to dismiss was filed and heard in any less than 45 days. So the spacetime continuum is in some serious flux because that is nowhere near what we see in showtime.

And then they have the trial in the same episode! Good luck getting LA, a jurisdiction where I practice to have a jury trial within two years of filing.
