“Like a Loaded Gun”: an interview about security and lack of transparency in American Elections.

I did an interview Dec 17 2020 with election integrity expert Jonathon Simon. I have tremendous respect for his data driven insights and opinions regarding voting in the age of electronic voting machines and the resulting opacity (which does not mean able to be seen easily, sorry Rudy.)

I had (and still have) a number of questions and thoughts about this election and it’s unprecedented number of litigated contests. But here’s the interview.

Answers are edited for length and clarity. I am hoping to do an interview on my youtube channel where you can hear Mr. Simon’s answers in their full range and breadth but that would not really work in this context.

“Okay, my first question. Do you think there was Republican interference in the 2020 election? I’m not asking for facts and figures, just your feelings, your gut reaction.”

J.S. The forensic analysis I’m looking at shows millions of votes being undercounted, concentrated in heavily Democratic areas. Whether that was supplemented by electronic voting manipulation?…It was a complicated election. But there are about 5 million votes that weren’t counted. Apparent in the Presidential election but also down ballot.
