I think most Dems that take corporate money know the game and tell themselves it’s better for the people that I get elected than a Republican because I’ll try not to hurt them while giving donors what they want. The Dems like AOC and Bernie that don’t take corporate money, at least at this stage of their career want to change the Democratic party so it no longer exists to serve the Donors. Because of this the leadership will try to corrupt/neuter/destroy them.
