Sometimes, but luckily not frequently, life resembles Pac-Man. In this case Matt Gaetz, is hoping to go from the pursued yellow dude to the guy who eats the Energon Cube or whatever and starts munching on the ghosts that were chasing him.
Matt Gaetz told Steve Bannon, who has a podcast, because everybody who’s anybody has a podcast these days, (as an aside anyone want to do a podcast with me?) that when the Republicans take the House in ’22 he wants to chair the Judiciary committee.
In case you forgot, as a May 17 2021 article from NBC put it as delicately as possible “Federal officials are looking into whether Greenberg and Gaetz used the internet to find women they could pay for sex and whether Gaetz had a sexual relationship with a minor he paid to travel with him” Greenberg is cooperating with authorities ie. flipping on Gaetz because he was ever sooooo busted. But for whatever reason Gaetz has yet to be arrested. This is the danger of slow walking charges (and also possibly the reason for slow walking charges) against politicians. They may, in the interim, find themselves in charge (or at least supervising) the investigators.
Are you paying attention Merrick Garland you corrupt/incompetent putz? Because the people you are not investigating (except for Steve Bannon on a misdemeanor contempt of Congress charge) for an attempted coup, are plotting…
