I would like to share some of my frustrations with Centrist logic that says we shouldn’t hold Biden, Harris and the rest of the democratic establishment for failing to pass the policies they campaigned on. I will thus be sharing paraphrases of actual arguments I’ve had on twitter. At a certain point I think they approach the mindblowing logic of a zen koan. Feel free to share with your friends.

Centrist Dems: You can’t blame Biden and Harris for the actions of Manchin and Sinema.
Me: Can I blame Manchin and Sinema?
CDs: No.

Me: Why can’t Biden and the Dem leadership hold them accountable.
Centrist Dems: Because they are from Red states and have to appeal to conservative voters.
Me: Arizona has two Dem senators and voted for Biden in 2020.
CD’s: But before that it was Red.

Centrist Dems: We are different than Republicans because we understand the importance of collective good and not just individual goods.
Me: So Dems in reddish states should risk their chances of getting elected in order to help the Democratic brand overall
CDs: Not like that.
