Bipartisanship can Bite Me

This is inspired by a tweet by Barbara Streisand calling for bringing back “dignity, bipartisanship, honesty, facts, warmth and kindness…” and with much respect to her talents as an actress and a singer that tweet can suck it.

The ACA or Obamacare passed by a fragile Supermajority in the Senate without a single vote from Republicans or in the House. Which means they could have passed any bill they wanted but instead chose a plan modeled on the one instituted by Mitt Romney in Massachusetts a Republican governor. That STILL got nary a single vote from Republicans. Bipartisanship, by definition, should not be a one way street.

And in this rogue administration, which has locked kids in cages for the crime of their PARENTS taking them here to seek asylum, that has sterilized women against their will in detention centers, that has ordered a mafia style hit against an American citizen on U.S. soil, and defended a murderer because the people he killed were leftist protestors, jamming a Supreme Court nominee that makes Clarence Thomas seem liberal at record pace in the midst of an election, you want to bring back bipartisanship? With whom?

When someone is trying to destroy you and everything you stand for the correct response is not ‘how can we work together?’ 69 percent of voters support Medicare For All, we don’t need Republican bipartisan support to…
