There are many ways to measure things like strength, speed, height, intelligence etc. One convenient way is relative to others or to the average or median. And I did some mental math and it turns out relatively, proportionally if you will, Billionaires are more powerful than Thor.

Before we get to the main event so to speak, how much faster is the fastest man compared to the average man. The world record for the mile is 3:43 according to Worldathletics.com The average time, or the time for an average runner is between 9 and 10 minutes. So the world’s fastest runner is about three times as fast as the average man. That’s pretty impressive right?

Especially compared to the tallest man ever compared to the average height. The tallest man on record, as per Guiness was 8ft 11 inches. The average height for a man is 5'9 as per healthline.com. That’s not even twice the average height.

So what’s the wealth of a billionaire compared to the average? Well it seems there’s some institutional sexism at play, women earn a median income of 42K per year and men 52K a year. I’ll just use 50 thousand a year because that makes the numbers easier to play with. So a billionaire has 20,000 times as much wealth as the average person.
