and you think boardgames are lame
roller coasters not yet invented
fencing and jousting strike you as tame
then let me suggest an enticement
a game with stakes worse than death
sometimes players are frozen in stone
and never again draw a breath
The game is Beholder Baseball
you just need a beholder or six
than you divide your party in teams
and arm all with wooden sticks
You then run and chase the beholder
assuming you don’t get frozen in place
then you drive it towards the goal line
by swinging your bat at it’s face
It’s best if you a dozen healing potions
and maybe a cleric or two
because the beholders who like playing baseball
it turns out are exceptionally few
