Sometimes something on Twitter hits you like a sledgehammer between the eyes. Yesterday it was Jennifer Cohn, revealing that ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) is psychic. At least as far as the election was concerned. Because it turns out ALEC was working with state legislators to file lawsuits against the results of the election…in February!
This seemed so important that I am writing this article as much to signal boost this message as much as to put my own take on this information. And this information makes clear how much this was a premeditated attack on American democracy (such as it is) and an attempt to move us further towards authoritarianism and one party rule…and even I think it’s fair to say Corporate Feudalism. I say this because this was not a reaction to suspicious results, as was claimed, this was a planned response to any unfavorable result. Because you can’t react to statistical anomalies…when there is no data, anomalous or otherwise.
