I have been critical of the Biden administration regarding enacting the Democratic agenda Biden the candidate ran on.
Now, it is beyond question that the vaccine rollout has been effective and efficient. But as I opined frequently, vaccination is not a Democratic policy. It is important and necessary for the safety of the country, but self defense didn’t use to be a partisan issue.
The Fight for Fifteen became the surrender to the parliamentarian. Medicare for All is nowhere in sight. And despite world record temps here and in Canada, the likelihood of a Green New Deal is at best unlikely.
But on the border, where the Biden admin has received its most vicious and repeated criticism, they have, as of June 15 2021 done something right that will make a difference in thousands of lives of those of the most vulnerable.
Merrick Garland undid the precedent laid down by the Trump AGs Barr and Sessions that made it nigh impossible for victims of domestic violence and gang violence to be granted asylum.
